that committing to a Podcast would produce. Yikes! I am instantly cast as the Executive Producer, the Producer, the lead actor, set design person and first, second and third grip. Not to mention the audio/video guy and tech consultant.
There is a microphone sitting in the box from Amazon. Been there 4 days. Unopened. Tonight I will download some free recording software called Audacity. The recommendation I picked up from listening to and watching about 4-5 hours of, yup, you guessed it, Podcasts about “How to make a Podcast”. YouTube rules the day. (Newsflash: I opened the Amazon box.)
I left out a job in the list above. The job of Writer. Who will tell me what to say? Oh yeah, that is me too. A deer in the headlights comes to mind. This is not a quick thing to learn and implement. I will, however, stick to my promise of “within 30 days” from my previous Blog post.
TV’s are bigger, phones are smaller. And bigger, and tablets are any size you can dream up. Tech waits for no man. Change is constant. Podcasts have actually been around for a long time. It is just me that is late to the party 🙂
Do you use YouTube to learn about your hobby/business? If not, give it a try. You will be amazed at the level of production and the high level of knowledge so immediately available. Gardening? Yup. Software lessons? Yessir. Car reviews? All day and night. Google’s purchase of YouTube was one of the most successful tech acquisitions ever. Nicely played Google.
And while we are on the subject of Google, it came to my attention that some people think BING is an acceptable “replacement” for Google Search Engine. NOTHING could be FURTHER from the truth. BING is a useless toy compared to Google. If you want to waste time trying to find what you want (and maybe never find it) then by all means, use BING. If you value your time and actually need to find what you are searching for, then Google is the way. The only way. Life is short. Use Google.
And that’s a wrap for the second Blog Post of 2014!
Enjoy the heat wave 🙂
Photo is of a pro setup, NOT my setup. Not even close 🙂
