I took the bull by the horns…

Well… sort of. Here is what really happened. I was on Twitter. And noticed that a trusted source for WordPress and business information had made some podcasts available. I thought, “Hmmm, for many months I have had a vague idea that I would like to have podcasts on my iPhone. Maybe now would be a good time to explore that possibility.” I clicked around, found an app. Then I simply downloaded the 10 podcasts.

Do you listen to podcasts on your iPhone?

I am pretty sure I will be able to listen to them through the Bluetooth connection in my car. Which was really a big part of the picture. (one reason for this is all the sleazy ads I had been subjected to lately on my car radio)

Getting older, I realize more and more that there is limited time. So why fill my head full of sleazy radio ads when I could be learning something fun and productive?

Even though it was more “Go with the flow” than “Take the bull by the horns”, the result is the same. I will be able to listen to podcasts in my car. And on my walks.

Use podcasts to improve the quality of your life. Enough annoying ads for useless products. Take the bull by the horns!

On a different and yet somewhat related note:

Here is a great link that describes how Google uses the content of your own email to send you sneakier and more effective… SPAM. I would be embarrassed if I were Google. Don’t get Scroogled!

Remember, there is an option. CapeWP.com offers Rackspace email. No ads ever. $45 per year per address (cheaper than Gmail). It is like watching TV with no ads. Simply a wonderful experience.

Last Saturday in August! Happy Labor Day Weekend!

Next week, how to come up number one on Google.

PS – Related to last week, I now accept Bitcoins as payment at www.veryhappycats.com and my own purchase of a Bitcoin went through right when they said it would.
